Is here such point as an over the counter thyroid testing?
Nope
no because you have to hold your blood drawn and then the lab test your blood to see what levels your thyroids are.
There is if you buy it online. Also some labs do it in need a doctors order...Try quest and lab corp they might...but within the end you requirement a doctor to tell you what it process...Thyroid is a touchy thing...sometimes blood lab test are not enough. If you basically wanna do it to check it out thats one thing...but if you enjoy real troubles or suspect you do Go to the doctor.
the just non-invasive thing you can hold done for the thyroid is a thyroid ultrasound.. it's what doctors usually request together with the thyroid function test which require drawing of blood. i think you can enjoy an ultrasound done without any doctor's request. but it doesn't really make a contribution you much of how your thyroid "functions" especially if it is not enlarged..
There's been chitchat about one coming out, but I don't believe it have. There are a few labs that will test your short a doctor's permission, but insurance will not cover it. You would be required to turn to the lab for a blood draw.
You can try testing your body temp. Take your body temp as soon as you get up up. Do not get out of bed or move around too much. Do this for a week and after average the temps together. If its under 97 and you enjoy other thyroid symptoms get your blood tested at a lab. You'd want it done contained by the morning and to have a TSH, free t4, free t3, and an antibody try-out
