I'm not sure about a nurse of alternative prescription, but I know you can study to be a Naturopathic Doctor, Chiropractor, Master Herbalist, Oriental Medicine doctor or Nutritionist. There are more and more people going for CAM treatments, so more money is going near, which means more opportunity for employment.which excites health dedicated individuals like me.
Anyways, I someday hope to attend a Naturopathic college, of which in that are several good ones within the US including Bastyr University, Clayton College as well as a few other honest ones...go to http://www.aanmc.org/ for more info on colleges etc.Hope this is supportive...I am hoping to find a career contained by alternative medicine soon too, and I estimate it might be a little difficult...ie...you may own to just be paid your position/career...hopefully there will be more positions available surrounded by the future...Good Luck.
Many nurses choose to work surrounded by the so-called 'alternative medicine' field, but I do not know of any formal nursing accreditation or formal training for this.
Note: Alternative pills practitioners often focus on treating the rationale of the patient's symptoms, rather than newly masking those symptoms next to drugs or removing the damaged organ beside surgery. Therefore, it actually may be more accurate to consider drugs and surgery as the physical 'alternative medicine'.
Best wishes.
