is here any truth to the rumor that taking B12 up to that time drinking cures hangover?

Not in my exprience (I've tried a lot).
What DOES work is drinking a great deal of water between drinks. That can cramp your style though -- try oral rehydration salt. They keep the sea in your body and prevent dehydration which is the prevalent cause of hangover. Pop an ibuprofen or two also before you run to bed (not tylenol and DEFINITELY not asprin, they don't mix well beside alcohol).
If it's already the next afternoon remember the holy trinity of quick hangover reclamation (assuming you want to avoid hair of the dog) -- pepto bismol, ibuprofen, and gatorade.
yes it help, not with the headache tho, only just the all over crappy body thought , b12 is a major joie de vivre booster/stimulator.
No.
Placebo effect.
I don't know about that, but I do know that if you drink as much or more hose as you do any alcoholic liquid, you will avoid the majority of the hangover- they're cause primarily by dehydration. Eat before you drink too, something that won't present you indigestion later. You also own to take into story your body mass- you can only grasp away with drinking so much the skinnier you are.
Of course, the BEST cure for hangover is a really, REALLY bad hangover. You won't want to drink for a while ;)
No. B 12 does not assistance.
A hangover (veisalgia) is the sum of unpleasant physical effects following heavy consumption of alcohol. The most adjectives reported characteristics of a hangover are feelings of extreme thirst, apathy, nausea, sensitivity to sunlight and noise, and headache. Hypoglycemia, dehydration, and vitamin B12 defect are all theorize causes of hangover symptoms.
IT AIN'T GONNA "CURE" IT, IT CAN HARM YOU IF YOU TAKE TOO MUCH.
EAT WELL BEFORE DRINKING.
DON'T DRINK TOO MUCH, ALCOHOL IS A TOXIC SUBSTANCE, USE IT WITH RESPECT.
